- Sales/Business Development experience in a logistics/trucking industry - 3+ years
- Independent and goal driven
- Ability to visit outside companies in Southern CA (20 visits per week)

FULL DESCRIPTION: The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, addition, and expansion of the Sales & Marketing Department, including work processes, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth within established guidelines.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Performs and continuously scouts market intelligence of new and prospective clients.
- Maintains a close working relationship with newly acquired and existing clients.
- Analyses the department's strengths and weaknesses and recommend necessary actions to Management.
- Assists in telephone/email/walk-in/fax inquiries from prospective clients.
- Initiates business correspondence (quotation/proposals, memos, letters, company presentations, etc.) as deemed necessary.
- Assists in following up on the status of quotations sent to clients until sales are secured.
- Maintains a close working relationship with the Head of Sales for the rates and quotations, including other charges from subcontractors and port operators.
- Coordinates with the respective departments all concerns, procedures, and other requirements necessary for the success of account management.
- Conducts sales visits to clients and makes project package presentations.
- Prepares monthly production and other sales-related reports through EDI enterprise system.
- Maintains and updates client database.
- Works with internal business units to promote and identify cross-selling opportunities and support other services of the company both to existing and prospective clients.
- Assists in the collection/settlement of accounts.
- Assists the department in the overall day-to-day operation, customer service, and route/site survey.
- Performs other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- College graduate or an equivalent of 5 years solid track record in the field of Sales and Business Development.
- Has at least 5 years of sales or business development experience on the same field/industry.
- Hardworking; Responsible; Flexible in work and time assignment
- Able to drive, advantage if vehicle owner
- Has Interpersonal/ Communication Skills
- Able to communicate confidently
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Able to analyze problems and provide immediate and long-term solutions
- Aggressive, Focused and Result-Oriented
- Good team player
Salary Range: $26-$35/hr
