Essential Functions:
- Construction and Management of procedure documentation
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
- Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
- Accountable for initiation of proper routine and emergency care as indicated by practice and Family Health West’s policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills appropriately utilizing resources. Consults physicians for advice and utilizes team approach for problem solving.
- Receives and carries out physician orders.
- Assists physicians with medical procedures.
- Safely and correctly performs all procedures within the scope of nursing practices.
- Knowledge of medication dosages, routes, and actions.
- Reordering and stocking supplies and medication inventory as needed.
- Observation of universal precautions
- Recognition, initiation and observation of special precautions.
- Identification of patient needs, planning and implantation of care.
- Direct assistance with any patient care needs.
- Ensure that all records required for admission, consent, discharge, etc. are fully completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete and accurate documentation of assessments, observations, situations and events.
- Provide formal and informal patient education within scope of practice.
- Ensure courteous and professional interactions with the public and other staff members.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
Education:
Education: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Licenses: Current unrestricted LPN and IV license with the State of Colorado.
Certifications: Current BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Experience: 1-2 years of LPN experience & prior LPN experience in a procedure center/ clinic preferred.
Wage Range : The wage range for this position starts at $27.00 and goes up based on experience.
Immunizations required for employment, including COVID-19.
