The Outbound Sales Manager for USA to UK is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within the North America region. This role requires a strategic approach to identify new travel and tourism business opportunities, develop customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. The successful candidate will be based Orlando and ideally possess a deep knowledge of the UK.
Please note: This is a salaried position and does not include commission.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in UK
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives
- Provide regular reports via CRM tools on sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Commercial Acumen
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and the ability to analyze data in order to assess the viability of sales propositions
- Select pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive
- Forecast sales and balance of year calculations to support business planning
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners
- Accurately calculate ROI metrics
Market Knowledge
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the North American travel & tourism market, including key players, trends, and opportunities
- Stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies
- Utilize market insights to identify potential areas for growth and innovation
- Understand the cultural, economic, and regulatory landscape of the appointed territory
Operational Excellence
- Implement efficient sales processes and workflows to maximize productivity
- Utilize CRM systems to manage customer interactions and track sales activities
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services to customers
- Act as the conduit for the UK in the North American market
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Merlin’s UK attractions, together with the sales processes that support international business
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years' experience in sales management preferably within travel & tourism (international partnerships a plus!).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
- Knowledge of the industry and market dynamics within the UK market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in CRM software (Fresh Works or other) and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
