OTR Commercial Tire Tech- New Iberia- (Up to $4K SIGN-ON BONUS) - Delta World Tire Company

Delta World Tire is one of the area’s largest tire dealers, with over 30,000 tires in stock. In addition to tires, Delta World Tire offers complete quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians will be happy to help you on a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.

COMPENSATION: 

Pay: Up to $25 per hour. Up to $4,000 SIGN-ON BONUS.

As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will be responsible for addressing the needs to our customers on the road using proper tools and techniques.

The job:

• Perform OTR and commercial tire-wheel replacements and installations
• Perform basic repairs: brakes, battery installations, and parts replacements such as rotors, belts and more
• Installing Service Trucks and Fleet Vans such as (Dump Trucks, Batcos, Transit and Econoline’s with 19.5- and 22.5-inch wheels.

• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of tires/wheels
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and other commercial vehicle services
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up and organization
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• While performing basic services, observes general vehicle condition and points out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop to include the service area, tire racks, showroom and outside the building to maintain a clean and inviting appearance.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Clean driving record/Valid Driver's License
• Attention to detail
• Ability to pull, push or lift 75 lbs. (if required)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturday's
