OSP Underground Foreman/Directional Driller - Savannah GA - TekCom Resources, Inc.

TekCom Resources is seeking an Underground Fiber Construction Foreman/Driller for a full-time, permanent-hire role with our telecom construction client in Savannah, GA!

As an OSP Underground Construction Operator/Foreman, you will operate heavy equipment necessary for underground fiber installation - i.E. Plowing, installing duct, pulling fiber and burying drops. Candidates MUST have directional drilling experience to be considered for this role. This work is focused on construction in and around the Savannah, GA area. You will have access to a company vehicle when driving to and from sites. You will also serve as the field lead for crews, ensuring work is performed safely and to company standards.

Your duties will include:
Along with Construction Coordinators, make sure equipment operators and installation crew are following safe construction principles.
Assist with location and verification of utilities prior to work.
Help keep projects on schedule and ensure quality of underground installation work meets company standards.
Participate in the maintenance of an organized warehouse and "yard."
Communicate with customers on potential issues and pass that feedback along to Construction and Project Managers as needed.
Participating in the training of incoming team members under your supervision.
Assist with actual construction work - this is a "working Foreman" role with hands-on duties.

Our client would like to see this experience in your background:

At least 1-2 years of underground construction experience;utilities construction experience unrelated to telecom, such as gas, power and water line installation, is relevant and welcome for this role!
Supervisory experience is not required but is highly valuable.
CDL licensure is VERY valuable for this role.
