The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an opening for a tenure line faculty position as an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon with a focus on surgery of the adult hand. The rank will be determined based on the chosen candidate’s qualifications. The new hire will be part of a dynamic and successful hand team within an outstanding academic orthopaedic department.
Minimum requirements include completion of a residency in orthopaedic surgery and one-year advanced fellowship training in hand surgery, or equivalent plus board certification or board eligibility. Applicants should have a sincere desire to develop and mentor others to develop focused clinical, research and educational programs in Hand Surgery, which will include publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national meetings. A specific research and publication track record is helpful. Both new and already established hand surgeons are encouraged to apply.
