Position Details
Location: Glastonbury, CT
Compensation: $100K-$125K with some flexibility for the right candidate. Project success bonus is also paid out.
Shift: Monday to Friday normal working business hours.
Travel: initial 40% overnight then would need to move to job site.

Position Description
As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manager, you will act as primary interface with the Original Equipment Manufacturer, for power plant equipment suppliers, to ensure OEM meets technical and schedule requirements of the Contract documents. Responsibilities will include:
--- Review design interface of all Power Island Equipment with Engineer of Record (EOR) while tracking delivery of all OEM equipment.
--- Resolve contradictions between design documents and OEM equipment scope or capabilities.
--- Manage installation of all OEM equipment, design changes, and field installation issues.
--- Manage OEM design team and report RFIs and EOR design interface issues.
--- Interface with the Balance of Plant Equipment with EOR and OEM Project Engineer.
--- Manage OEM vendor provided site team, including writing Authorized Work Orders.
--- Conduct site walk-down with field engineers and field superintendents.
--- Monitor status of documents issued by the OEM and manage expediting process for late submittals and re-submittals of OEM technical documents.
--- Manage list of outstanding action items between the OEM, the company, and the owner.
--- Provide status updates for monthly progress reports and attend monthly project review meetings.
--- Schedule and chair teleconferences between the OEM and corresponding engineering interface groups.
--- Direct project field engineers in coordinating on-site field activities regarding OEM supplied equipment.
--- Attend selected Customer Witness Points at the OEM manufacturing facilities for quality control inspections and equipment tests to assure product meets design scope, and file trip report outlining activities witnessed.
--- Coordinate witness off-loading of major OEM equipment at intermediate off-loading points during delivery and aid in transport of equipment.
--- Provide contractual and technical assistance for the Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Procurement Manager, Construction Manager, and Start-up Manager in fulfilling project goals.
--- Other duties, as assigned.
Position Requirements
--- 4-year degree in Business or Engineering, strong technical background is desired.
--- Strong Military leaders highly preferred. Ideal would be Navy Supply, Army Logistics and other logistics and procurement experience. Technical or Construction exposure is a plus but not needed.
--- 3+ years of related experience as OEM Engineer, Site Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Engineering Manager.
--- Must have strong conflict resolution, problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
--- Power generation related experience.
