About the Job
A nonprofit organization in New York City is looking to add a Spanish-speaking professional to their team in Manhattan as their new Orientation Facilitator. In this role, the Orientation Facilitator will be responsible for helping to develop and enhance clients' work-related skills for job placement and other engagement activities.
This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite 4 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily motivational orientations for new clients
- Conduct orientations and workshops using prepared curricula and materials
- Support workshops on self-assessment and introduce online tools
- Assist with job readiness workshops on various topics (e.g., resume writing, job applications, interviewing skills)
- Maintain contact with Career Service Coordinators for client transition
- Administer and score assessment tests
- Maintain documentation, case notes, and workflow through computer-based programs
- Create labels and folders for enrolled clients
- Attend meetings, staff development sessions, and in-service training
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related work experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working within a Community-based organization or Government sector
- Experience in a role/setting serving under-resourced populations
