About the Job
- Define and lead data analytics project across the enterprise: identifying the process for collecting all aspects of training data from our legacy systems to report out on standard training metrics.
- Support Engagement efforts across the organization, utilizing the Gallup process and other tools used for measurement of engagement and culture such as surveys and strength finder assessment.
- Support the design, development and delivery of training that is cutting edge and impactful to the organization.
- Conduct focused educational/training needs assessments within specified targeted business populations.
- Research and participate in CHIPs act activities for Coherent in areas of understanding state grant programs across key locations to deliver dollars for the OD Center of Excellence L&D programs
- Deliver group and individual instruction and training covering a range of management areas, primarily in the area of leadership skills.
- Participate in the selection of, or develop training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Coordinate, collaborate and align on learning activities and training calendar with the Director and Sr. Dir of Org Development (OD)
- Support for DEI efforts
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's preferred in Business, Organizational Behavior/Effectiveness, Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources or comparable field of expertise
- Minimum of 8 years in HR or similar experience in field of organizational development, training/leadership development or closely related experience, including in the areas of design and delivery of learning & development/training programs and program measurement
- Minimum 3 years managerial or leadership experience
- Experience in handling all logistical components of project management and data analytics to ensure programs are aligned with our business strategy
- Ability to determine learning objectives for programs and measure against those objectives
- Certified Trainer Certification desired/preferred in DDI, KORN FERRY or other similar leadership development curriculum.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite of tools to include PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint. Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of the company's Learning Management System (LMS). General/basic knowledge of L&D authoring tools is also preferred but not required
Skills
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with inside and outside suppliers and customers and all levels of leadership.
- Must work well under pressure with proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction.
- Project Management, Six Sigma, Lean or Continuous Quality Improvement training is preferred.
- Certifications or willingness to become certified in leadership type assessments and facilitations is preferred (i.e. DDI facilitation, Gallup's Strength Finders, Disc personality profile, Etc.)
Working Conditions
There is an expectation to report to the office location a certain number days a week as determined by the leader for the position. As a global organization, there is an expectation of irregular hours for meetings and calls which may include evenings and on a very rare occasion a weekend might be needed to meet certain project deadlines or attend a call/meeting. There is also a possibility of international travel - candidate would need to be able to obtain and hold a passport and obtain a Visa for certain countries within our portfolio of countries if travel is warranted. Travel expectation globally is minimal, occasional domestic travel may be needed when required, expectation is ~5 % or less
Physical Requirements
Incumbent may be required to stand for prolong times while facilitating a training. The ability to travel by air for long international flights may be needed
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.
Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.
Quality and Environmental Responsibilities
Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
