Overview
We are seeking an Oracle Materials Planner with strong expertise in manufacturing and materials planning. This role involves managing materials planning and supply chain processes using Oracle ERP, with a focus on driving efficiency and meeting production goals in a high-cycle manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of planning concepts, excellent communication skills, and Oracle EBS experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Materials Planning & Coordination:
   • Develop and execute materials planning strategies to ensure the timely supply of components while minimizing inventory.
   • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to align material availability with production schedules.
   • Analyze production trends and recommend adjustments to materials planning processes.
2. Oracle ERP Expertise:
   • Leverage Oracle ERP for demand forecasting, materials requirements planning (MRP), and inventory management.
   • Ensure seamless integration of planning processes into Oracle EBS for manufacturing workflows.
3. Supply Chain Collaboration:
   • Partner with suppliers, logistics teams, and manufacturing facilities across the Americas to ensure efficient material flow.
   • Address supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to meet production goals.
4. Process Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities to improve materials planning processes, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency.
   • Implement best practices for inventory management and production planning.
5. Communication and Leadership:
   • Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on planning objectives and operational goals.
   • Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations for process optimizations.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems (required).
  • Familiarity with general ERP systems (e.g., MAPICS or similar) is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong expertise in materials requirements planning (MRP) and production scheduling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams effectively.
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Preferred:
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP).
  • Familiarity with high-cycle manufacturing industries like automotive or press room/stamping.
