Overview
We are seeking an Oracle Materials Planner with strong expertise in manufacturing and materials planning. This role involves managing materials planning and supply chain processes using Oracle ERP, with a focus on driving efficiency and meeting production goals in a high-cycle manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of planning concepts, excellent communication skills, and Oracle EBS experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Materials Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and execute materials planning strategies to ensure the timely supply of components while minimizing inventory.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to align material availability with production schedules.
- Analyze production trends and recommend adjustments to materials planning processes.
- Oracle ERP Expertise:
- Leverage Oracle ERP for demand forecasting, materials requirements planning (MRP), and inventory management.
- Ensure seamless integration of planning processes into Oracle EBS for manufacturing workflows.
- Supply Chain Collaboration:
- Partner with suppliers, logistics teams, and manufacturing facilities across the Americas to ensure efficient material flow.
- Address supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to meet production goals.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve materials planning processes, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices for inventory management and production planning.
- Communication and Leadership:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on planning objectives and operational goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations for process optimizations.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems (required).
- Familiarity with general ERP systems (e.g., MAPICS or similar) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong expertise in materials requirements planning (MRP) and production scheduling.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Preferred:
- APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP).
- Familiarity with high-cycle manufacturing industries like automotive or press room/stamping.
