Job Description:

We need at least >=6 years of experience and he/she has to run the task independently once the direction is given.
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.
Sound backup and recovery procedures.
Hands on experience with Data guard switch over and upgrades
Review of Vendor Database design and of vendor application Oracle database implementation.
Provide feedback on vendor application database tuning and performance monitoring.
Provide feedback on vendor application tuning and performance monitoring.
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required.
Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools.
A good understanding of the underlying operating system.
A good knowledge of the physical database design.
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.
Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
A good knowledge of Oracle security management.
A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources. (Locking)
A good knowledge Oracle data integrity.
Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development of the development life cycle.
A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.
Should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.
Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Setting and tuning system parameters.
Tuning the operating system, network, and transaction processors to work with the database.
Interfacing with any other technologies required by database applications.
Shell Scripting , Automations
Database Tuning, tracing, trace analyzer, RDA
Hands on experience with GRID/OMS , How to add targets, setting up monitoring, configuring agents and upgrading the OMS
Understanding of the Oracle licensing to the level he/she know what features they can use
DBA must have experience on Oracle Install, Cloning ,Major Upgrades , Patching Upgrades, PSU Patches, CPU patching , One off bug patching, patch rollbacks [For current version -2 ]
ALL types RMAN Recoveries
Remedy ticketing system
