The Oracle DBA will:
- Manage and administer Oracle databases on-prem and on AWS. Ensuring high availability and security.
- Perform performance tuning of the database, as well as assisting in tuning of queries and stored procedures as needed.
- Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, and performance optimizations.
- Develop comprehensive database strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Implement and monitor encryption, access controls, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with development, system engineering, and infrastructure teams.
- Automate routine database tasks through scripting and tools to minimize manual effort.
- Work with external partners and managed service providers for seamless integrations.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Oracle database administration.
- Good experience with MS SQL Server database administration.
- Good experience in database administration in the cloud (e.g., AWS or Azure).
- Expertise in performance tuning.
- Experience in database patching and upgrades. - Experience in disaster recovery planning and backups.
- Experience in automating database tasks and processes through scripting.
- Experience in database partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
- Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
