Responsibilities:
The day to day tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables for Oracle Database Administrator include, but are not limited to the following:
Required Technical Skills:
The Senior Oracle Database Administrator shall possess 7+ years technical knowledge and experience with most of the following systems, platforms, applications skills:

Responsibilities:
The day to day tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables for Oracle Database Administrator include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the Oracle non-production and production databases administration as needed, including daily operations, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and after hours on-call support.
- Provide database administration support to the entire system development lifecycle of all IT projects, including review/approval of database schema changes, stored procedures, SQLs/PL/SQL and other database related objects.
- Work with data modelers to review and optimize logical data models and implement them in physical database schemas using data modeling tool such as Oracle Designer or Erwin.
- Establish database design conventions in best practice, and assure that design conventions and standards are in compliant and documented fully.
- Support database change management and deployment processes.
- Work with Oracle Support to resolve issues on the Oracle databases and Oracle tools used by the development teams.
- Develop and implement ORACLE Stored Procedure verification tools that assist developers in troubleshooting and performance improvement
- Develop and implement procedures for the synchronization between different database environments.
- Develop and implement proactive tools for ORACLE environments (such as lock escalation report).
- Provide advice/recommendations on database architecture, design and implementation.
- Provide technical coverage for all ORACLE databases when the primary DBA unavailable including after hours support on weekends.
- Support the Audit Remediation projects to upgrade Oracle database to 12c, encrypt Oracle databases in both Production and non-Production databases, and scrub/mask production data used in non-production database environments.
- Provide training, documentation for knowledge transfer to other database team members, and communicate both to non-technical users and to technical personnel on Database team and Applications teams.
- Provide Internet Web and Document Support.
Required Technical Skills:
The Senior Oracle Database Administrator shall possess 7+ years technical knowledge and experience with most of the following systems, platforms, applications skills:
- Hand-on experience in database administration with Oracle including monitoring, capacity planning, load balancing, performance tuning, high availability and multi-sites Disaster Recovery deployment on complex database environments; Oracle 11G/12C, RAC, RMAN and ASM implementation experience is desired.
- Extensive knowledge with complex SQL and PL/SQL programming and optimization.
- Proficiency with UNIX (Client-UX), Linux and VMware vSphere.
- Experience as an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA.
- Experience in database schema design including logical and physical database schemas design for large scale, highly available and mission critical application systems.
- Experience designing and supporting the database components of software applications, and understanding of entire application development life cycle.
- Experience with Java or .NET entity framework and ORM is plus.
- Good writing skills to provide documentation for DBA and other teams.
