Oracle Cloud Architect

This is a 1-2 year assignment. The initial contract enddate will be 6/30/25, which is in line with our fiscal year end. We will thendo a renewal contract for the period 7/1/25 - 6/30/26.

Job Overview

The Oracle Cloud architect proactively and holisticallydesigns, deploys, and supports OCI infrastructure and applications, optimizingprioritization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieveproject outcomes.

They understand the concepts of business goals,objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams andbusiness processes and their importance in cloud architecture. Cloud architectprovides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to supportthe development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet businessneeds and align with architectural governance and standards.

Scope of Activities

Credentials and Experience

A bachelor\'s degree in computer science,information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, orequivalent experience

A minimum of five years of experience Oracle Clouddevelopment disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture,network management, application development, middleware, database managementand security

Experience with implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion as aCloud Architect

Good understanding of strategic and emerging technologytrends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies tonew and evolving business and operating models

Good understanding of product management, agileprinciples and development methodologies and capability of supporting agileteams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks,taking account of technical and architectural debt

Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategiesand roadmaps

Identify and resolve issues related to cloudinfrastructure and services. Provide support for incident management anddisaster recovery

Skills

Expertise in cloud computing concepts and architectures.

Proficiency in cloud service deployment, management, andoptimization.

Strong understanding of security practices andcompliance.

Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g.,Terraform, Ansible)

Knowledge of networking, storage, and database servicesin the cloud

Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of OracleCloud architecture like integration, network and security

Good understanding of information principles andprocesses

Understanding and knowledge of system development lifecycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development,rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize and DevOps)

Understanding and knowledge of IT service management(ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL)

Hands-on experience in different modeling languages (suchas UML and ArchiMate)

Understanding of IT standards and controls

Industry experience in applying application developmentmethodologies and infrastructure and network architecture

Proven analytical, planning, organizational and technicaland skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work with developers in an outsourcedenvironment
