Optometrists - Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is currently seeking a full-time Optometrist in our Waltham and Boston, MA practices. No weekends or late evenings required!  This Optometrist will specialize in Dry Eye management and treatment as well as providing Post Operative management to Cataract surgical patients. Working alongside our Fellowship Trained Ophthalmologists, you will also manage stable and routine glaucoma patients, amongst other ocular diseases. A brief list of responsibilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of Ocular Surface Management and Dry Eye Treatment Modalities, including BlephEx/Iiux or Lipiflow, punctum plugs, AMT and IPL treatments.

• Comprehensive Vision Examinations.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and excellent refractions.
• Exceptional ability to monitor, treat and prescribe medication for stable glaucoma patients in conjunction with our Glaucoma Surgeons.
• Perform Annual Diabetic Exams.
• Participate in and co-manage pre- and post-operative surgical care.
• This position uses various instruments and contributes to the development of an overall treatment plan. 

• Completion of a four-year program at an accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in the state of Massachusetts.  
• Residency experience is desirable, preferable in Ocular Surface Disease.
