Who we are seeking:
Are you always following the latest trends in eyewear, and are you fascinated with the way corrective lenses work in the athletic space?If so, we may have the right role for you. The ideal person must be able to work with our large base of customers by delivering quality optical care with outstanding and friendly customer service. You must be able toassistcustomers with eyeglasses fittings,you must alsopossess strong sales skills bydemonstratinga high level of knowledge about our products anddetermining our customers' needs for eyewear so you can recommend specific accessories or enhancements.
What you will be doing:
- Providing excellent customer service in person, on the phone, text, email and through online chat.
- Interpret the results of eye examinations, using prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
- Assisting customers byrecommending lenses, coatings, and frames to suit customers' needs Specific customers may need special eyewear for sports, occupational use, or various tints and anti-reflective coatings.
- Advising patients on frame weights, materials, styles, and colors
- Using prescription information from the doctor and the patient's preferences, face shape and other factors to help select the appropriate pair of eyeglasses, frames, and lenses.
- Giving product recommendations to patients based on their vision needs and lifestyle, such as frame construction, lens material and lens coatings.
- Providing education to customers about their eyewear needs.
- Anticipate problems, explore underlying reasons for issues. Strives to develop solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Remaining knowledgeable about products offered and discussing available options.
What you will bring:
- 1- 2 years of experience in an optical setting.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Basic Math skills and cognitive ability.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft programs.
- Working knowledge of customer/market dynamics and requirements.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus.
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner.
- Availability to work flexible shifts.
- Previous experience as an optician and/or ABO-certified preferred.
