Optical Physicist - Mastech Digital

Role Description: The Optical Physicist must have 10+ years of experience. For this role, you must be a highly skilled Optical Physicist with a strong background in electrical engineering to join the team. 

You will contribute to the design, development, and integration of optoelectronic devices and systems, combining expertise in both optical physics and electrical engineering. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving lasers, fiber optics, sensors, and integrated photonic circuits, contributing to applications in communications, defense, and medical technology.

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of optical and electrical systems, with experience in optoelectronics and photonic devices.

- Hands-on experience with laser technologies, photodiodes, modulators, and other optical components.

- Proficiency with electrical and optical simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, Lumerical, Zemax).

- Solid understanding of electronic circuit design, signal processing, and analog/digital electronics.

- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for simulation and data analysis.

- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and optical power meters.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork and technical presentations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
