Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Design, analyze, and simulate optical systems using state-of-the-art design software such as Zemax and CAD software.
2. Develop and implement optical designs, including lens systems, mirrors, prisms, and other optical elements.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate optics into broader system designs.
4. Conduct optical measurements and experiments to validate design models and system performance.
5. Provide technical leadership in the selection of optical materials and manufacturing processes.
6. Develop and implement testing protocols for optical systems, ensuring that designs meet all technical and quality requirements.
7. Continuously monitor the latest trends and developments in the field of optics, incorporating new technologies and approaches into our work as appropriate.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical design and performance, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in optical engineering, with a strong focus on optical design and analysis.
3. Proficiency in using optical design software such as Zemax and CAD software.
4. Solid understanding of optical principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to the design of optical systems.
5. Experience in manufacturing and testing optical elements and systems.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
8. A track record of successful project management, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
9. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
