The Practice Manager is a pivotal leader responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring top-tier patient care, and supporting physicians and staff to achieve the practice’s strategic goals. This role demands a commitment to superior customer service, adherence to medical standards, and fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while supervising physicians and staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service and patient care quality.
- Ensure compliance with standard medical practices and implement measures to minimize risk.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to management as requested.
- Continuously analyze scheduling processes to improve patient services and physician productivity.
- Monitor and assist physicians and staff to enhance patient flow.
- Address medical-administrative issues and foster open communication with staff to maintain morale and a professional work environment.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with providers.
- Meet operational goals established by management.
- Perform other tasks assigned to support business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or health administration, or a related healthcare field, or equivalent experience in an ophthalmic role.
- 2+ years of management experience in ophthalmology or optometry.
- Working knowledge of NextGen, including template building, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
- Proven ability to hire, train, motivate, and mentor team members effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make challenging decisions diplomatically and professionally.
- Commitment to operational improvement and forward-looking planning.
