JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Provides care that meets the physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of physician. Maintains regulatory requirements, office/clinic policies, procedures, and standards. Communications with physicians and team members about patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, physicians, and public.
• Understand the ethics of confidentiality.
• Previously demonstrated performance in a medical environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to speak clearly and distinctly with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
• Able to hear to converse with others on the phone.
• Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule.
• Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare and read documents accurately.
• Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.
