Operations Trainee / Project Engineer - Highland Roofing Company

We're growing and we're looking to add new team members to our company!  Our current opening is for a Commercial Roofing Survey Technician who will be responsible for assisting our sales associates with completing roof surveys.  Main responsibilities include:

• Visit potential project sites to conduct a thorough investigation of the existing roof and site conditions.
• Complete a detailed report with photographs of the current site conditions to be used by the estimators to produce a proposal for the customer. The report will consist of:
  • Access to the building/roof
  • All roof dimensions including the roof height
  • Core samples of the existing roof
  • Identifying the roof deck type
  • Determining if the existing structure has slope
  • Evaluation of the existing metal flashings
  • Note existing damage to the interior and exterior of the building
  • Listing of the existing roof penetrations
• Complete an infrared scan of the existing roof to determine if moisture is present in the roofing system.
• After some additional training, evaluate the roof system and make recommendations for repairs
• Assist Operations with various tasks such as, but not limited to, loading trucks, making deliveries, inventory control.

We're looking for someone with roofing or general construction experience with strong math and technical skills.  Must have a driver's license and a good driving record.  And of course, you have to feel comfortable working outside in all kinds of weather and working at heights over six feet.
