Operations Technician at Confidential company

20.00 hourly plus 2.50 shift differential

The Operations Technicians work 12-hour shifts, 6 PM – 6 AM. This position encompass many responsibilities within the organization, including but not limited to: Reviewing and processing a large amount of data, estimating timely scheduling of trucks and drivers, monitoring on-site and off-site equipment, filling trailers with natural gas and providing first-line response to emergencies.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operations Technician to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively within an assembly line environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Monitors compression stations in Milton and Pembroke for safety and proper functioning of equipment.

2. Follows all safety practices, company policies, industry practices, manufacturer recommendations and OSHA guidelines are followed.

3. Monitors, reviews and processes data relevant to each customer’s usage and needs.

4. Estimates timely scheduling of trucks and drivers.

5. Monitors on-site and off-site equipment.

6. Communicates and coordinates with other Ops Techs, maintenance staff, drivers and the Operations Team Manager to develop priorities and resolve any issues.

7. Fills trailers with natural gas.

8. Works safely in all weather conditions.

9. Provides first-line response for emergencies.

10. Tracks and maintains bills of lading.

11. Coordinates with drivers, customer and vendors.

12. Checks in all visitors at the Compression Station.

13. Attends company sponsored safety training classes, and passes related exams.

14. Completes all assigned tasks proficiently.

15. Complies with all company policies.

16. Assisting periodically with daily facility operations, facility maintenance or other special projects as assigned by the Operations Team Manager.

17. Presents a professional image consistent with company standards.

18. Maintains awareness at all times of the effect of actions upon the experience of the customer and co-workers.

19. All other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work frequently for extended periods in all weather conditions: must be able to stand / walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift / move 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and crouch as frequently.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is regularly required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

The employee will travel occasionally, primarily locally and regionally, to better understand customer sites and contacts
