We are seeking a high energy, motivated Operations Supervisor in our Coxsackie, NY Distribution Center.
Responsible for the daily slotting of materials in our forward pick zones to increase pick velocity and reduce our oddball pick items. Oversee our sanitation program by having daily walks to identify problem areas and create action plans and maintain USDA rules which will be executed by managers. Reviews return accuracy and reships to ensure they are done in a timely manner. Daily use of the returns report to identify problems with mispicks, breakage and other areas of the warehouse that need to be communicated to managers to ensure better practices. Review the unsaleables to ensure they are unsaleable and if not create a plan to have them cleaned up and put back into stock. Maintain inventory of supplies used in the warehouse which include boxes, inserts, labels, tape, shrink wrap etc. Backup to returns clerk, day admin and inventory cycle counter when they are out.ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
• Communicate with all managers on issues relating to their departments and proper procedures being followed and what is needed to accomplish the tasks.
• Resolves mispicks by ensuring pick bins have proper items stocked in them.
• Back up day admin on the HUT tax report.
• Review and report all breakage and unsaleable, investigate driver shortages and other issues that arise and report to manager. Responds to AR/Customer Care regarding service inquiries regarding RE’s and invoices in a timely manner.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Assists the Distribution Center Managers and Supervisors in supporting and enforcing the safety program.
• Reports to Distribution Center or Facilities Managers on any issues relating to equipment and/or physical plant that may need maintenance attention.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Works closely with Distribution Center and Facilities Manager’s to deploy personnel to other warehouse tasks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is supervisory and is limited to the Drivers, warehouseman, check in clerks, admins and cycle counter. In the event of the absence of another Manager or Supervisor they will also supervise other areas as needed.

• Hourly Rate $24.03 per hour / Full time / Monday - Friday 12pm - 8:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certifications and/or licenses:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, college preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3 to 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer systems.
• Will train on Power Industrial Trucks to be certified.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines. Attention to detail is particularly important to this function.
• Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with both crew members and the other members of the management team.
