Overview:The Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting Sales & Broking, Contracts, Client Services, and Operational Improvement activities. This position focuses on reinsurance placement processing, contract preparation and administration, and advancing operational improvements under the direction of the Operations Director. The Operations Specialist fosters strong internal customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction, compliance with Gallagher Re's service standards, and successful implementation of operational enhancements. Collaboration with Brokers, Client Service Advocates, Account Controllers, Premium Technicians, Regional Operation Analysts, and other departments is essential.
How you'll make an impact:- Support Brokers, Client Service Advocates, Account Controllers, Premium Technicians, and Regional Operation Analysts during the placement process to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting by documenting and recording placed programs, including deal structures and participating markets, in Gallagher Re’s client servicing systems.
- Process endorsements through the client service platform and communicate requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain placement accuracy by adhering to Quality Assurance standards and validating system entries.
- Communicate new and renewal status updates to key stakeholders, including Client Service Advocates, Premium Technicians, Regional Operations Analysts, and Brokers.
- Collaborate with Brokers, Client Service Advocates, and Operations associates to manage client and reinsurer entity information, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained for placement processing.
- Consult with Client Service Advocates and Brokers to ensure system entries accurately reflect program structures and essential data is captured for efficient processing.
- Monitor and support Management Information reports by ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining diary systems.
- Assist in Operational Improvement projects by working with Operational Improvement Leaders, stakeholders, and associates across Gallagher Re.
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent). A two- or four-year college degree is preferred, or a minimum of three years of related experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in reinsurance.
- Experience with client servicing platforms, including Eclipse, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong numerical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, and apply basic algebra.
- Logical and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents, financial reports, and performance metrics.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to respond promptly to needs, solicit feedback, and meet commitments.
