Your Role
The IFP Installation and Billing team is tasked with completing all installation and billing activities for our Individual Family Plan (IFP) and Medicare Supplement subscribers. The Operations Specialist, Associate will report to the IFP Installation Operations Supervisor. In this role you will help ensure processes are efficient, documented, and without gaps. You will look to find opportunities to drive improvements and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure our work remains compliant and completed in a timely manner based on approved service level agreements.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Act as subject matter expert and review operational workflows, identifying problems and acting as a SME to inform improvements, modifications, and enhancements.
- Track and communicate workflow and system changes to appropriate resources.
- Review systems and applications and recommend changes as needed.
- Notify appropriate department managers about issues and problems in operational workflow requiring immediate attention.
- Participate as a subject matter expert to inform the development of written guidelines and document problems as needed.
- Help develop and maintain inventory dashboards to ensure all inventory is reported out timely and provides appropriate leadership visibility
- Ensure all desk level procedure documents are accurate and up to date
- Facilitate process cross-training for Installation and Billing onshore and vendor teams.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of prior relevant experience
- Consumer enrollment, eligibility, or billing experience in healthcare insurance preferred
- Experience reviewing processes to determine gaps and potential efficiencies
- Ability to multi-task and frequently change priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to facilitate meetings and trainings, provide feedback in a professional manner, and report out on department inventory as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
