Operations & Site Manager - Coherent Corp.

• Management/Leadership:
  • Ensure our Cycle Time is met at the highest level of Quality and Product Integrity.
  • Site is staffed, motivated, engaged and empowered to deliver a high and sustainable level of performance in an ever-changing environment.
  • An accident-free environment is maintained by following all safety, ergonomic and environmental procedures, and creating the attitude that all accidents/injuries are preventable.
  • All laws, regulations, Coherent Corp. and local policies and procedures are understood and complied with.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping standards and ensuring a clean, safe, orderly environment, where all our site's issues are addressed in a timely fashion.
• Business Operations:
  • Department processes are reviewed/audited for continuous improvement and cycle time reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure Site maintains ISO9001 and ISO14001 Certifications and are ITAR compliant.
  • Relevant Company Technology Control Plan, Export Compliance requirements, IP, IT, SOX and Quality procedures are understood and executed.
  • A high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, competency, and quality is set.
  • Thorough coordination with Trade Compliance and Screening for all ITAR Technologies and Applications.
• Manufacturing Operations:
  • Quality standards are set and achieved.
  • Capacity is maintained to meet requirements and growth opportunities via improved efficiency, new processes, manpower, facility expansions, and/or capital.
  • Factory floor space is safe, clean, and designed to achieve optimal movement of product through the factory
  • Support is provided to the R&D and Engineering Teams in developing tactical and strategic plans to achieve revenue and operating profit goals in support of the BU plans.

• Fifteen (15) or more years' experience as a Sr. Manager or a Site Lead in the manufacturing of electronic devices or highly engineered material for the electronics industry

• A visionary with strong leadership skills for integrating engineering, quality, facilities, planning and operations to meet the goals of the business and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

• Work in manufacturing environment

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Quality & Environmental Responsibilities

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
