Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client’s business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of optimizing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving productivity, reducing costs, and delivering exceptional service to their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and meet organizational goals.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, and replenishment strategies to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and refine operational processes to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management: Set performance goals and KPIs for the operations team, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement safety protocols, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control expenses without compromising quality or service.
- Customer Service: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a wholesale distribution environment.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in operations and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings, and achieve operational targets.
