Aeriz is searching for an Operations Manager for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing production operations and manufacturing of cannabis flower, extract (volatile and non volatile), and infused products. This position exists to direct the overall manufacturing production throughput and any related initiatives set by the company for a process area. No prior cannabis experience is required.
This role will report directly to the General Manager and work on-site at our cultivation facility in Riverbank, Ca.
Responsibilities
• Oversees all post-harvest, processing, and packaging operations, maintaining a high level of quality and focusing on efficiency and productivity.
• Manages a large team with supervisors and secondary reporting teams.
• Manage Facilities and Maintenance department.
• Evaluates operations processes and systems, makes recommendations for improvements, manages the implementation of approved process, systems change to improve productivity, reduce expenses, and improve margins.
• Establish a culture of accountability and compliance.
• Create and implement SOPs, methods, policies, and objectives; implement work related trainings.
• Develop and meet production schedule of manufactured products.
• Accurately and consistently maintain tracking and movement of all products using Salesforce and METRC.
• Record activities in their appropriate logs.
• Manage inventory of finished products.
• Collaborate with leadership in development and execution of facility production schedule.
• Ensure all QC/QA and safety standards are being followed and maintained.
• Comply and enforce all rules and regulations set by state and local regulatory bodies.
• Maintains high standards in housekeeping, safety, GMP and a professional work environment.
• Partner with Human Resources to effectively manage department workforce.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, engineering, or a related degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing/production facility required.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisory, management, or equivalent role required.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain management
• Working knowledge and experience operating within continuous improvement processes preferred.
• Effective and efficient communication skills are a must.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
• Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, and materials).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as a manager and mentor, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities for Managers, Supervisors, and Leads.
• Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, absolute reliability, and integrity.
• Genuine interest, appreciation, and passion for the cannabis industry and consumers.
• Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet.
• Close visual focus required.
• This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
