The Operations Manager, Ride United will support a collaborative, cross-functional program team to achieve next-level improvements in process efficiency, program quality, and ultimate impact for the Ride United program. Ride United is a supportive service offered by United Way that mitigates transportation barriers to help people obtain and maintain employment and access needed resources. The comprehensive service includes direct mobility supports to resolve underlying transportation barriers such as acquiring and reinstating driver's licenses, vehicle purchases and repairs, and more, as well as access to on-demand rides. The program is executed by a cross-functional internal team with support from external technology consultants and vendors and in collaboration with referral partners. The Operations Manager will be responsible for championing and supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement for all aspects of the Ride United program. The Operations Manager will lead project management for the development and launch of major new program components, ongoing streamlining and improvement of program processes, creation and maintenance of high-quality program documentation, and overall internal program administration for the Ride United program. The successful Operations Manager will have can-do mindset, a knack for creating order out of chaos, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed to ensure all aspects of the Ride United program are a success. The Operations Manager may support limited related projects as assigned.
This position is grant-funded. At this time, we have grant commitments to fund the position for one year. We anticipate securing additional funding to continue the position in subsequent years and fully expect that we will be successful, but that funding is not guaranteed at this time. Continued employment beyond the term of the grant is not guaranteed.
