Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has successfully raised and allocated millions of dollars towards innovative programs and initiatives, directly impacting thousands of students across the district. Our efforts ensure that every student is well-prepared for both academic and life challenges.
About the role:
The Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, primarily through bookkeeping, record keeping, grants administration and reporting, and program and event support.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all day-to-day bookkeeping duties.
- Maintains all accounts payables and receivable files.
- Works with Development Team to process donations.
- Processes check deposits and outgoing payments.
- Enters donations and outgoing payments into QuickBooks.
- Works with Executive Director (ED) and outside accountant to maintain operational integrity of Foundation accounts.
- Leads annual financial audit with third party audit firm.
- Renews and tracks all business-related city and state licenses.
- Supports new staff, program leader and trustee on-boarding process.
- Administers all email and organization group accounts.
- Administers all incoming and outgoing grants and is responsible for grant reporting requirements.
- Prepares financial reports for ED and Board members and participates in monthly Finance Committee Meetings.
- Responsible for maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Assists with fundraising events and campaigns.
- Supports programmatic and community outreach events as assigned.
Skills and experience requirements:
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel).
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as working within a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated use of tact and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Past non-profit experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of DonorPerfect CRM or similar database experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus.
