Position Overview:
As the Operations Manager for our client’s team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of their operational processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize warehouse operations, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, implement safety protocols, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor performance, track progress, and identify areas for improvement.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or service.
- Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a wholesale distribution environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
