Job DescriptionSummary Of Position
The Operations Manager handles all aspects of operations including order processing, inventory management and control, business planning, branch office and equipment logistics, yard operations and administration of the daily operations of the Operations Department. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Branch/Area Manager and functionally reports to the Head of Operations, Doka USA.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including management of staff (Yard Manager, Logistics, Yard staff, CSR(s), Demand Planner, Truck Drivers) and staff development in coordination with the Branch/Area Manager and National HR.
- Manage procurement of goods and services in coordination with the Controller/CFO and Head of Procurement, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines.
- Ensure operational feasibility of customer contracts, purchase orders, and customer projects in collaboration with sales and engineering teams.
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels, placing orders with other branches and vendors, while ensuring compliance with company product strategy and managing equipment utilization rates.
- Supervise physical inventory counts, quality control, and the processing of rental material returns according to company standards.
- Oversee pre-assembly work, freight cost effectiveness, and initiate credit management processes for new customers, ensuring timely billing and payment compliance.
- Handle all Operations-related customer complaints, generate reports and spreadsheets, review internal procedures, and recommend process improvements.
- Manage payroll for Operations staff, fixed cost plans, and maintenance of branch facilities and assets.
- Ensure compliance with Doka, OSHA, and safety protocols, coordinating safety concerns and training with relevant parties.
- Conduct weekly Operations meetings to coordinate with sales, engineering, and CSR teams.
Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions
- Travel as required.
- Other duties/projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams.
- Assist in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment.
- Comply with all corporate policies and business practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business required, concentration in Finance, Controlling or Logistics preferred.
- Recent management experience in administration, operations or logistics.
- Facilitates projects and effectively manages multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel required.
- Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
- Possesses strong leadership skills, effectively manages a diverse team and achieves results
- Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.

Compensation
- The annual compensation for this role is $95,000 - $115,000 USD
