Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. U.S. Water's Industrial Group operates treatment plants for its customers throughout the US. Each customer site is operated by an offsite project manager who works with a dedicated onsite Lead Operator and site operations team. This team is responsible for monitoring processes, adjusting controls, performing laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, replenishing chemicals, and maintaining good housekeeping. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations as well as maintaining a working relationship with our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of pumps, valves, motors, controls and other related water and industrial wastewater treatment equipment.
Understands and can operate facilities using computer or PLC controls including SCADA.
Supervises and/if necessary, assists with repairs or replacement of machinery and equipment.
Monitors process conditions and makes appropriate recommendations to operators and supervisors for process adjustments in coordination with the Technical staff.
Monitors and assures the routine maintenance on equipment is conducted.
Understand project finances and manage the KPIs of those projects using the financial tools available.
Implement contractor/maintenance work permit system for the site.
Assists in qualification, tour potential project sites, and facilitate proposal preparation including CRM entries.
May meet with client representatives, manage local client relationships, prepare bid documents and participate in presentations.
Ensures Operators and Supervisors utilize the Digital systems and maintain related accurate operational records.
Prime responsibility to ensure treatment system operations are executed properly to maintain compliance with applicable permits and other regulatory requirements.
Certification in water or wastewater treatment plant operations is preferred and, in some cases, required.
Individual must be aware of relevant RCRA regulations governing wastes and labeling.
Knowledge of the practices used, and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial and environmental facilities.
Ability to conduct and oversee routine laboratory and field tests for process control of plant operations.
Ensure SOPs are up to date at the sites and either update or collaborate with matrix resources to keep current and relevant.
Ensure training, certifications and staff development actions are effective and review status with matrix resources for staff at the sites.
Provide leadership for supervisors in the area and coach to develop their skill levels and future capabilities.
Ability to work in a matrix organization to provide guidance and coordinate with support functions needed to successfully operate sites.
Provide direction to the staff around all operational issues.
Ensures regulatory reports and DMRs are submitted accurately and on time.
Ensures client required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
Responsible for development of H&S site plan and JSA's associated with the project in coordination with matrix resources.
Identify, lead and gain client approvals for change orders.
Responsible for utilizing and maintaining systems to assure data is collected and accurately recorded in PCM.
Responsible for understanding client data needs and assure they are being delivered through Operations Digital Platforms.
Perform special projects assigned by management.

Job Requirements
10+ years of operational experience necessary.
5 years of project management experience necessary.
Wastewater Operator license preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Applicable health & safety training
Demonstrated capability and experience in the appropriate competency
Valid driver license
Ability to obtain or currently hold any licenses necessary for the area managed
Ability to travel when needed to support existing sites or new opportunities
Skills and Abilities
Proficient at the use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Ability to learn and apply other computer programs utilized in O&M projects
