About Our Client:
Our client is a growing CPG company in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
Role Summary
- Manage production facilities ensuring compliance with regulations (GMP, safety, etc.). Oversee blending/packaging operations, financial performance, resource scheduling, and production functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safety procedures
- Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication and presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams.
- Pursue lean and continuous improvement
- Implement SOPs and comply with regulations (FDA, ISO, OSHA)
- Leads and monitors the development, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and operating guidelines within responsible functional areas. This includes compliance with FDA, ISO, OSHA, and other regulations.
- Coach and develop staff on practices and safety
- Partner with the People & Culture team on personnel issues, hiring and termination
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Manage production schedules and resource utilization
- Ability to Balance multiple projects, lead and develop staff
- Communicate operations status, train personnel
- Establish maintenance, security, sanitation programs
- Analyze production, implement cost savings and best practices
- Assist with budgeting and expense planning in partnership with the Plant Manager
- Hire, train, and develop production workers
Requirements
- Proven leadership, organizational, communication and presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams.
- Change implementation and teamwork experience
- High volume production floor experience
- Lean manufacturing advocate
- ERP systems knowledge
- GMP knowledge
- Food safety and OSHA compliance
- Interpersonal and team management skills
- Microsoft Office skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent experience
- Seven to ten years relevant management experience with progressive P&L responsibility in food and/or beverage manufacturing operations, preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
- Beverage production experience desired
- SAP and regulated environment experience preferred
Location: Indianapolis, 25% travel
Physical Demands
- Physically demanding role requiring mobility and dexterity
- Ability to regularly supervise and walk the operations floor
