- Develops Operations Team goals and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drives timely shipments to ensure customer delivery metrics are achieved and exceeded.
- Be change agent adopting lean and other manufacturing processes that will drive yearly productivity improvements.
- Motivate and influence employees in a fast-paced environment and provide candid feedback in a constructive manner.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises and look to improve on processes that impact each metric.
- Collaborate with all support teams including Customer Service, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales to develop plans to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Actively engaged in monthly site operations reviews.
- Achieves growth and profitability as defined in regulated plans.
- Manages to a ISO9001 quality system.
- Develops and ensures compliance with Quality processes that will meet or exceed customer standards.
- Plans and manages the expense and capital budgets within the Operations function.
- Manages people resource to maximize productivity.
- Leads Operations' participation in the success of new product development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Health and Safety compliance, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, Quality Standards, Environmental policy and Export Compliance.
- Embrace Amot's employee engagement initiatives through a continuous employee involvement approach.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; employee development; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and correcting employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum, BS or BA degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in manufacturing/production
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in management/supervisory position
- Experience in a variety of manufacturing activities including purchasing, materials management and planning, production commodity management, and engineering preferred.
- Experience managing other managers and supervisors preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- Knowledge of production processes, supply chain and lean manufacturing
- Problem solving
- Team member and Team leader
- IT literate, Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, MRP system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills, able to handle multiple priorities and results orientated
- Able to work and lead effectively during change
- Knowledge of commercial and employment law applicable to position
- Good knowledge of materials management, ERP, MRP, lean, six sigma or related discipline
- Travel: Requires a willingness to travel internationally and domestically (Up to 10%)
