Operations Manager- Temp to Hire
We utilize 2 business models, B2B (Domestic and International) and B2C (Domestic).
Duties include but not limited to:
1) Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments: This involves checking the received goods against purchase orders, verifying their quality and quantity, documenting any discrepancies and effectively communicating with the vendor. Handheld barcode scanners are utilized to track the movement of goods and streamline order-picking activities for international shipments.
2) Unloading and loading shipments: Warehouse personnel are responsible for safely unloading shipments from trucks or containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. They also load outgoing shipments, ensuring items are properly secured via manual pallet wrapping.
3) Order picking and packing: This involves locating items within the warehouse based on customer orders, accurately picking the required quantities, and preparing them for shipment by packing them securely and labeling packages properly from various marketplace platforms.
4) Shipping and documentation: Warehouse personnel prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading or shipping labels, to accompany outgoing shipments, both domestic and internationally. Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
5) Returns processing: When customers return products, warehouse staff will handle the inspection, sorting, and restocking of returned items. They update inventory records and coordinate with other departments.
6) Manage and optimize Marketplace platform operations and other platforms:
a) Including inventory management, product listings, pricing, and promotions. Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction by analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights.
b) Accurately labeling each product item with the appropriate generated FNSKU label and prepped for shipping
c) Creating shipments plans between a multiple software
d) Ensure delivery to the various Amazon Fulfillment Centers
7) Data Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for analyzing warehouse data, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs. They use this information to generate reports and Purchase Orders and make data-driven decisions to improve warehouse performance.
8) Product Analysis: Research the product to gain an in-depth insight of the receiving inventory or inventory on hand. i.e sold as a set, flavors, sizes, weights, scents, Step 1/Step 2 considered 1 unit despite two separate packaging.
9) Schedule and oversee warehouse team: Leads the operations team, manages the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and floor productivity.
10) Quality control: Warehouse personnel perform quality checks to ensure that products meet specified standards. This can involve inspecting items for damage, conducting visual inspections.
11) Inventory management: Warehouse personnel play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records. They may use software systems or manual methods to track stock levels, monitor expiration dates, conduct regular stock counts, and update inventory databases.
12) Stock organization and maintenance: Warehouse personnel arrange products in the warehouse to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval. They may use shelving systems, pallet racking, or other storage methods. They also ensure cleanliness and safety in the warehouse environment.
13) Equipment operation and maintenance: Warehouse duties involve operating machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems. Staff should be trained to use this equipment safely and perform routine maintenance tasks or report any malfunctions.
14) Safety and security: Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. They follow safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and report any hazards or incidents. They may also implement security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
15) Continuous Improvement: Constantly seeking ways to improve warehouse operations. They may identify areas for improvement, implement new technologies or processes, and monitor the effectiveness of changes made. Promotes a continuous improvement mindset, and is never satisfied with the status quo.
16) Full transparency within all departments of the organization: All completed documents are scanned to the accounting department daily to support analytic results in real time.
