For this position we are looking for an individual with previous FAR121 or 135 Airline Operations and management experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Airline Operations:
- Assures dispatchers are properly informed of company functions and that they are knowledgeable of operational activities and provides guidance to dispatchers
- Interacts with customers on a regular basis to assure Ameriflight services are to the customer’s satisfaction
- Assists in short-term planning for company operations
- Collaborates with department heads in base to ensure they understand nature of operations and support to operations
- Researches and resolves customer service issues
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Airline Operations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises dispatch staff and directs (not supervises) Line Services’ employees engaged in client activities
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Planning, assigning, and directing work
- Appraising and addressing performance, rewarding and employees and addressing complaints to resolve problems
Required Qualifications
- Three plus years of management experience with Part 135 operator preferred
- Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorships
- Ability to obtain an airport access badge (SIDA badge)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions including procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customer and/or employees of organization
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
