What will you do in this job?: Responsible for assisting the General Manager of the lodge with management and daily operation of all the Denali Cabins facilities, including efficient operation of housekeeping, food and beverage operations and gift shop operations. Responsible for scheduling, training, coaching and disciplining the guest service agents and submitting time sheets weekly. Responsible for safe and efficient food and beverage operations; training of all food and beverage department personnel and labor cost control, and producing a consistently high quality dining experience according to lodge standards. Attend staff meetings, safety briefings daily;

Remote. Our home is filled with trees, lakes, and blue-bird skies; rather than buildings, freeways, and smog.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities):
- Provide excellent guest service to guests and other team members
- Help with shuttle driving
- Make sound judgments and anticipate issues and opportunities
- Handle comments, complaints and concerns with high level of efficiency in the best interest of the guest
- Work closely with all other departments to ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Ensure that guests' special needs are met
- Greet arriving/departing guests in a professional and pleasant manner
- Be knowledgeable of daily functions or activities occurring at the Cabins and in the area in order to answer guests' questions
- In conjunction with the General Manager responsible for the overall management and operation of all Denali Cabins facilities, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees while at the Denali Cabins
- Meeting or exceeding industry and Company standards of guest service and product quality
- Responding to customer comments, complaints and concerns to determine that guest expectations are met
- Ensuring facilities meet or exceed legal, industry and Company standards for cleanliness and maintenance of facilities, such as:
- daily, weekly and ongoing cleaning in and around facilities
- Maintaining adequate daily and ongoing inventory of all lodging supplies
- Coordinating and managing duties associated with start-up and shut down of the Cabins facilities.
- Responsible for assisting in effective and efficient training, supervision and performance of Denali Cabins staff:
- Trains seasonal staff in following company policy.
- Assists in the start and end-of-season duties in relation to all Denali Cabins facilities.
- Staff training to ensure customer service principles are consistently applied to achieve and exceed overall guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for submitting accurate timesheets for all front of the house employees
- Ensures all cash is secured, deposits are made on a regular basis, and submitted to accounting in a timely manner
- Participates in monitoring the operational and labor budget
- Ensures the food and beverage product served is of consistently high quality and is delivered to the guest in a timely manner
- Participate in emergency response activities including firefighting, emergency medical activities (within an employee's training limitations) and other incidents
- Arrive at work on time, ready to work, dressed in clean uniform, with a neat and clean appearance
- Coordinate and assist the Logistics Manager with daily operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Current CPR and 1 st Aid Certification
- Training for Alcohol Professionals, TAPS
- Working knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality services and operations
- Working knowledge of safety standards in the hotel industry
- Strong supervisory / leadership skills with ability to effectively train, manage and lead staff
- Good judgment in making sound decisions and effectively solving problems
- Work independently, in a team environment, and with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees as well as outside business associates; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written; ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, managers and the general public
- In-depth knowledge of Company policies, procedures and employee programs
- Proficient using industry-standard computer software and databases
- Work extended hours, various shifts, and on holidays and weekends
- Live in close quarters with others in a remote wilderness setting
- CPR and 1 st Aid Certification
- Training for Alcohol Professionals, TAPS
- Practical experience in hotel and/or restaurant management, hospitality management, or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities
