Responsibilities:
1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth running of production processes and timely delivery of products.
2. Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
3. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and ensure that they align with the company's strategic objectives.
4. Implement effective operational procedures and processes to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
5. Utilize ERP systems for inventory management, demand and supply planning, and production scheduling.
6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identify process bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.
7. Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery commitments are met by effectively managing resources.
8. Collaborate with other departments such as HR, Finance, and Sales to optimize operations and resolve any arising issues.
9. Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
10. Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven track record in process improvement, with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and mapping out effective solutions.
4. Proficient in using ERP systems for operational planning and management.
5. Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performance team.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
8. Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate operational processes are being used.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Strong understanding of industry standards, safety standards, and operational best practices.
11. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
12. Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification would be an added advantage.
