Oversees production facilities and manufacturing within, ensuring products and activities are completed safely, within quality standards, on schedule, and within cost objectives.
We are looking for a team player who is looking to make a lasting impact within not only the company but the community as a whole. This role will sit on the location's Senior Staff Team and report up to the Plant Manager.
Various departments under scope of the operations manager would be - Welding, Tube Bending, End Finishing, Packagaging, and Warehouse/Material Handling personnel. There are about 90 total direct/indirect under this role's scope with plans to grow that team over the next couple of years.

Wage: Based on Experience
Hours: 45+ hours (we do run a 1st and 2nd shift and this role will have oversight of both)

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:
- Assists in the development and execution of long and short-range plans, policies, programs, and objectives relative to assigned facilities.
- Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that prooducts conform to established customer and company quality standards.
- Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.
- Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
- Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Hires, trains, develops, and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap, and rework data.
- Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
- Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
- Completes other projects as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and quality procedures and management programs and systems.
- Proficient computer skills including familiarity with enterprise resource planning and business intelligence/analytics systems.
- Good understanding of intergrated supply chain management including demand planning, forecasting and procurement.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the corporation.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of experience in manufacturing operations.
