The Schenectady City School District, with a population of nearly 10,000 students is one of the largest districts in the Capital Region. The district includes eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and an adult and continuing education center.
The Schenectady City School District includes seventy-seven National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT), which is more than that of any other district in New York State with the exception of New York City.
