Education/Experience:
Minimum five years maintenance employment or related experience required.
At least two years’ experience as a supervisor preferred.
Project Management and IT support experience preferred.
High School Diploma required; BA or AA desired.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, with a clear driving record.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens certification courses within first six weeks of employment.
Must maintain CPR, First Aid and BBP Certification throughout employment.
Must complete online Mandated Reporter Training within first week of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and web browsers effectively.
Knowledge and experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) to manage and organize daily workflow.
Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Skill to maintain a professional, confidential work environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time in an efficient manner.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform a variety of projects and tasks involving a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and skill.
Ability to work cooperatively and to communicate with children, staff, and the public.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to independently determine workflow and direct others.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
