About the Job
The Operations Director -Sexual Health Serviceassists in managing the operations of an area, department or health center site. This includes oversight of the staff, health information, front desk, scheduling, registration, patient care and clinical support functions. Assists in training new and existing staff on procedures. Responsible for performing Human Resources duties, reviewing and approving payroll for supervised staff and oversight of day to day operations. Reports concerns or problems within the facility and works to resolve them. Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned following Access Health Louisiana protocols and standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in health care administration, public health, business administration, or related degree required.
Experience:
1. Five (5) years of healthcare management experience accepted in lieu of degree.
2. Experience in healthcare management and/or healthcare administration required.
3. 3 years of HIV/STI, non-profit, community engagement, client navigation, research, public health and/or other related experience.
4. Experience with communities of underrepresented backgrounds (e.g. MSM, transgender experience, people of color, PWUD and PWID, and other communities facing barriers to care)
Administrative Requirement:
1. Works to resolve problems in the workplace to maintain a calm and professional work environment.
2. Utilizes available reports and observation techniques to evaluate efficiency and adequacy of performance of staff and addresses any issues that may surface as a result of such information.
3. Works with patients to resolve concerns in a courteous, empathic and effective manner.
4. Reviews timecards/payroll bi-weekly
5. As directed holds regular departmental meetings
6. Monitors Departmental productivity and reports out to Director.
7. Ability to interview and select staff. Ability to provide corrective action to staff as necessary
