About the Job
Our client, a $4+ billion boutique investment management firm in Midtown with a 45‐year track record is looking to add an Operations Associate to its operations/back office team.
Responsibilities:
- Will be a part of a four‐person back office team and work with the COO (Chief Operating Office) / CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) of the firm
- Responsibilities include ongoing maintenance of client accounts housed on internal portfolio management systems, trade settlements, position / cash / trade reconciliations, documentation, reviewing real‐time P&L and reconciling differences, trade confirms
- Assist with day‐end, month‐end, and quarter‐end close, reconciliation, reporting
- Support of the firms' compliance function
- Ensure general office upkeep
- Assist with general administrative tasks
- Assist Director of Business Development with marketing material preparation and other client relations / marketing‐related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree, coursework in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics a plus
- Advanced knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
- Organized and detail‐oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with and learn various systems
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superb organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
- Attention to detail, proactive attitude, sensitivity to a small team's needs, strong work ethic, and high level of professionalism
