This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Institutional Documentation Team is an essential component in the life cycle of an institutional client, providing an exceptional level of client service and mitigating firm and operational risk. The Operations Associate - Institutional Documentation Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties relating to institutional client onboarding for a variety of investment strategies, and review and maintenance of client and firm agreements and documentation. The role requires excellent time management skills to meet multiple deadlines, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal and external clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare draft agreements and other documentation for clients and privately held fund investors. Coordinate efforts with Parametric's internal legal counsel on agreement negotiations; understand and resolve complex issues and present final documents to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Specific documentation may include investment management agreements, authorization documents, investment guidelines and policies, derivative trade agreements, limited partnership agreements and other fund offering documents, non-disclosure agreements, and bank and brokerage account agreements.
- Onboard new client accounts, including review of client specific documentation; work with brokers to facilitate opening of new client accounts; complete internal setup of client and trading accounts.
- Work closely with Parametric's trading, operations, compliance and business development professionals across multiple office locations. Expedite outstanding issues throughout the process of onboarding new clients or modifying relationships with existing clients to resolution with a sense of urgency. Provide regular status updates and update prioritization as needed to meet client and/or internal deadlines. Be prepared to speak to the specific terms pursued or contained in agreements and related policies.
- Escalate and coordinate issues/concerns with MSIM business partners, as required.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that Parametric's contractual obligations, notifications and statements of compliance are actively monitored, and that required communications are documented and executed as appropriate. Research client specific legal and factual issues such as unique industry or locality issues that influence the relationship and understand regulatory requirements.
- Have primary responsibility for the maintenance of client files and the retention of documents in an organized manner, making use of technology to ensure access to current documents is efficient and secure. Be responsible for the ongoing improvement of the organizations' document management and control methodology.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritize while working in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and quality
- Embrace technology solutions to enhance processes and controls
- Solutions driven approach with emphasis on process improvement
- Document management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D. or Paralegal with relevant financial agreement experience
- Experience working with institutional investors
- Knowledge of futures, options and Over-the-Counter derivative financial transactions and related documents
- Knowledge and experience with Know Your Client requirements and processes
- Experience working with non-US regulatory requirements

Salary range for the position: [$70,000 - $150,000] Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
