This key role will primarily manage and analyze data pulled from the Demand side into the MRP (Materials Replenishment Planning) system for procurement and finished goods. The Operations Analyst will collaborate closely with procurement, shipping, receiving, and production teams to optimize supply chain performance and achieve DOH (Days of Inventory) targets for raw materials and finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- MRP Data Management: Oversee the flow and accuracy of data from the Demand side into the MRP system, ensuring seamless integration for procurement, shipping, receiving, and finished goods.
- Shipping Analysis: Continuously analyze shipping data to identify patterns, optimize processes, and improve supply chain efficiency.
- DOH Targets: Set and monitor DOH (Days of Inventory) targets for raw materials and finished goods, ensuring alignment with company objectives and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Inventory and Production teams to influence decision-making and ensure efficient procurement and manufacturing processes.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Provide insights and recommendations to improve the overall supply chain, including managing lead times, transportation, and cost reductions.
- Reporting & Documentation: Regularly report on key metrics, including inventory levels, procurement performance, shipping timelines, and finished goods readiness. Create documentation to support process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement within procurement, inventory, production, and shipping. Implement solutions that enhance operational performance and streamline workflows.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Or High School Diploma/GED and at least five years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Power BI Reporting, MRP systems, inventory management software, and MS Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, shipping, and receiving.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and demand planning processes.
- Experience in analyzing supply chain data and developing actionable insights.
- Any experience with Infor M3 is a strong plus
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and generate reports to support operational decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify supply chain inefficiencies and recommend effective solutions to optimize processes and meet organizational goals.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis, reporting, and process implementation.
