Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Settlement Operations Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL.
Hybrid work required, 2-3 days onsite per week

Responsibilities :
- Responsible for processing securities transactions originating from institutional clients, trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations, Transaction Services team.
- Assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
- Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to perform settlement and investigation of securities settlement and other counterparty activities.
- Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management.
- Support implementation of securities processing improvements.
- Assist with identifying policy and operation gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes.
- Review and analyze securities and cash settlement activities, review procedures to reconcile cash and securities holdings.
- Develop and use knowledge of securities processing practices and standards.
- Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
