About the Job
HEI is looking for an Excel-savvy and organized person to join our team to help drive operational effectiveness of our portfolio of hotels. The Analyst will be responsible for the administration of tools and programs, tracking the usage of the tools and performance of the hotels against the base expectations. The Analyst will regularly collaborate with corporate and hotel leaders as new initiatives are introduced and existing initiatives are updated
The Analyst will be using Microsoft 365, Excel and Access, among other applications, to track, monitor and drive improved results across a variety of operations initiatives. They will help manage the monthly reporting and perform regular follow ups with under-performing teams at the hotels.
This role is perfect for the detailed oriented candidate who is comfortable with managing competing priorities, can communicate clearly and effectively and has requisite technological background.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Assist in the development and implementation of benchmark reports
- Provide analytical support to assess and monitor performance of each property
- Study and analyze processes & procedures to identify opportunities within the operation
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling
- Ability to recognize problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and define/suggest resolutions
- HEI’s Operational Efficiency Tools
- Develop knowledge of the expectations and mechanics of the tools
- Assist property leadership with technical support for tools
- Regularly report on program performance and work with lowest performing properties to improve results
- Help organize and run office hours and best practice calls
- Guest Satisfaction
- Administer weekly guest satisfaction reporting
- Perform ad hoc analysis of guest feedback for senior leadership
- Manage and champion the Operations Compliance Dashboard by developing and distributing bi-monthly Compliance Reports with all HEI Operations Compliance Programs
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure consistency in reporting and compliance
- Develop and administer new programs and initiatives as the business needs requires
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. Preference to Hospitality or Business backgrounds
- Relevant hospitality internship / work experience is ideal
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive background and knowledge of Excel required – must be able to program complex formulas to drive business decisions
- Strong skills in the Office Environment (Word, Power Point, Access a plus). Advanced experience with Excel
- Strong communication skills – required to communicate to C-Level staff on regular basis
- Organized & Detail Oriented – Will be required to keep track of multiple priorities and concurrent projects / tasks
Working Conditions
This position is based out of the Norwalk CT corporate office – Travel up to 10%
