Job Description:
The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for two Operations Analyst in its Operations Division. In this position the Operations Analyst is responsible for providing support to the unit, division, and DANY overall with a plethora of customer related services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support fleet management functions, which include but are not limited to vehicle maintenance, registrations, repairs, moving and parking violations, E-Z Pass management, placard management, parking assignments, and replacement and disposal of vehicles.
- Support telecommunication functions, which include but are not limited to assigning, trouble shooting, and/or replacing wireless devices, and maintenance of all office and telephone directories.
- Coordinate transportation requests for DANY external customers, which include but are not limited to processing requests in a timely and expedient manner, facilitating logistics between car service provider and customers, and processing/reviewing billing.
- Support public employee safety and health functions, which include but are not limited to ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, coordinating safety training programs, investigating incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions, providing guidance and support to employees and management, monitoring trends in workplace injuries and illnesses, maintain records and documentation, keeping abreast of changes in safety regulations and best practices, and liaising with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders.
- Support other operations related functions, which include but are not limited to building services, assignment and maintenance of office and cabinet keys, business card requests, office-wide signage, relinquishment of DANY property, DANY emergency system, invoice and payment processing, and publication subscriptions.
- Document unit and division protocols and processes for business continuity.
- Evaluate unit and division protocols and processes utilizing various business analysis tools and suggests recommendations for improvement based on best practices to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Prepare statistical reports related to the various unit and division functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
Preferred Requirements/Skills:
- Strong customer service experience and qualities to include ability to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity to internal and external customers, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
- Ability to interact and communicate (orally and in writing) with all levels of staff, members of the public, law enforcement representatives, court administrators and civilian witnesses.
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy, as well as an understanding of data protection and privacy/confidentiality concerns.
- Excellent organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment collaboratively and cooperatively.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions, handle multiple assignments, work on multiple short and long-term projects, meet and establish deadlines, prioritize amongst competing needs, respond in a timely manner to requests for information, and adapt to changes in workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and research skills.
- Follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to quickly learn and use various computer systems and software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access).
Hours/Shift:
- 5 days a week
- Monday - Friday (Weekend shift may be required)
- Shifts available 6 AM - 2 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM.
- Ability to work overtime and flexible hours.

Additional Information:
- Current office employees: To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least 1 year in their current position and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Looking for candidates that could commit to one (1) year to the hiring division.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
- Interviews will follow a structured interview process and candidates are expected to complete exercises at a computer to ascertain their analytical skillset.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
