ITA is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the team in Washington DC.
Responsibilities:- Perform a range of complex tasks essential for the creation of talking points and briefing materials for leadership, catering to a time-sensitive environment. This includes leveraging information collected, analyzed, and reported by the watch operations team, particularly concerning matters critical to the nation's infrastructure, cyber, and key resources.
- Provide comprehensive oral and written briefing support to the 24/7 Watch, ensuring leadership is equipped with high-level and detailed situational awareness, including impacts and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
- Engage in research activities to furnish leadership with insightful analysis, both at a high level and in detail, regarding situational awareness, impacts, and TTP for the Watch and CISA leadership.
- Coordinate with other entities to address and fill informational gaps, enhancing the quality and completeness of intelligence.
- Gain a thorough understanding of internal Current Operations' standard operating procedures and product offerings, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency in operations.
- Oversee the consolidation of existing products and the development of new templates to streamline briefing processes.
- Ensure that briefing equities are adequately reflected in CISA doctrine, upholding the organization's standards and operational integrity.
- Provide targeted support as required to bolster CISA incident management operations, including involvement with the CISA Crisis Action Team (CAT), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Response Coordination Center, the DHS OPS Crisis Action Team (CAT), and Regional Offices or Operations.
- Offer surge support to augment the 24/7 incident management operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational needs.
- Monitor cyber reports and incidents diligently, incorporating relevant findings into Current Operations reporting/products to maintain up-to-date and actionable intelligence.
- Manage respective email inboxes efficiently, analyzing and disseminating information pertinent to topics of interest for both CISA Central and Current Operations.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, showing versatility and adaptability in supporting the organization's wide-ranging needs.
REQUIRED: Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, or English preferred.
- Additional (2) two years of experience may be substituted with an Associate’s degree.
- Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in developing and providing oral and written briefings to SES-level management.
- Experience in developing and providing oral and written briefings for a wide variety of clients to include senior leaders.
- Ability to accurately convey a wide variety of information, to include critical, time-sensitive material, during steady-state and high-tempo operations.
- Experience in 24x7 operations center activities focusing on cyber, emergency management, communications, or critical infrastructure.
- Must have knowledge and experience in at least two of the following: open-source monitoring and alerting, intelligence or professional report writing, all source analytical research of databases and systems to include classified.
- Demonstrated ability to provide necessary attention to solve different level problems with some supervision.
- Broad expertise in research, analysis, and writing skills and be able to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's Critical Infrastructures, Cyber and Key Resources.
- Experience/expertise in one or more critical infrastructure sectors (as defined by HSPD-7 and the NIPP) and/or emergency management.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain DHS Fitness
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
